The Outdoor AP/Client 11g is a wireless device which can be installed and connected very easily to a computer and to power by an ethernet cable. It should be attached outside directly to an appropriate access point antenna or client antenna, sold separately. A typical use is to set up an access point, or to connect a customer to an internet network. It uses a TCP/IP protocol base. The AP is easily configured by running the utility program in the browser (Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher). The radio parts of this device work in AP, AP Client, AP Repeater, or Bridge modes. It works at a distance up to 15 km for point-to-point connections with an appropriate antenna attached. The radio parts work in the ISM range of 2,4GHz based on the 802.11g (54 Mbps) standard.
